BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Wendy Warren is the Founder and Managing Director of Caystone. Prior to establishing Caystone Solutions, Ms. Warren spent 11 years as CEO and Executive Director of the Bahamas Financial Services Board, a financial sector body that works closely with government, regulators and private industry to ensure The Bahamas provides global clients with best in class financial services. Following her time with BFSB, in 2012 Ms. Warren established Caystone, an operational family office focused on full corporate and fund administration services. Ms. Warren has worked in a variety of roles in the fund administration, wealth management and audit fields including 8 years co-leading the establishment and operation of a leading investment funds administrator. She has worked with families and family businesses for over 30 years and her knowledge of the financial services business and community is broad, augmented by a deep understanding of The Bahamas and its legislative framework. Ms. Warren is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
John Lawrence began his career as a Certified Public Accountant within the Special Practice Unit for Investment Companies and Tax Department at PricewaterhouseCoopers and after 5 years transitioned into the world of Private Banking by joining Coutts & Co., Bankers to the Queen of England. After working with Coutts & Co., for the next 7 years, he became the Managing Director of MeesPierson (Bahamas) Limited, a conglomerate of the Fortis Group and a Forbes World Super 50 Company, where he remained for the next 9 years. In 2003 Mr. Lawrence founded his own Company, Windermere Corporate Management Limited, a dynamic Cross Border Multi-Family Office and Financial Service Provider focusing on Wealth Management and Estate Services, where he remains today as CEO. Mr. Lawrence is very active in the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners and recently served as the Deputy Chairman of STEP Worldwide, and is currently a member of the STEP Worldwide Council and a STEP Worldwide Board Member.
Zhivargo Sean Laing, Sr. is a Bahamian economic consultant, former cabinet member and former member of the Bahamas House of Assembly. Mr. Laing attended the College of the Bahamas and then the University of Western Ontario, Canada, graduating with a Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Agro-economics. He went on to complete graduate courses at George Washington University, concentrating on business administration. After returning to the Bahamas in 1989, Laing served as an investment analyst in the Bahamas Investments Authority. He also served as a diplomatic officer at the Embassy of the Bahamas in Washington, D.C., and as a representative of the Bahamas at the Organization of American States (OAS). He was sworn in as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture in March 1997 and appointed Minister of State for Education and Youth in January 2000. Mr. Laing now serves as Executive Director of the Government and Public Institute of The University of The Bahamas and chairs several government and civic organizations, including The Bahamas Youth Leadership Development Programme for high school seniors.
